To be eligible for the program, a student must be in grades K-12; be a Cherokee Nation citizen; live within the 14-county jurisdiction; and meet additional income guidelines.
Once parents have provided the necessary paperwork and have been verified by the tribe, the parents receive a $100 gift card for every school-aged child in the home.
Cherokee Nation employees will be available at various field sites throughout the 14 counties to accept applications. Representatives will be available at Warner High School, Nowata Public Library and Washington County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at all other locations from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Locust; July 13, Salina Middle School, 909 Saltwell; July 18, Vinita Health Center, 27371 S. 4410 Road; July 19, Nowata Public Library, 224 S. Pine St.; July 20, Washington County Fairgrounds, 1109 N Delaware St., Dewey; July 25, Catoosa High School, 2000 S. Cherokee St.; July 26, Sam Hider Health Center, 1015 Washbourne, Jay; and July 27, Sequoyah High School, 17091 S. Muskogee Ave., Tahlequah.
